The Combat XII-MEC Pack is the same as the original Ares Armor design initially created for a US Marine Corps Sniper Platoon. On the Combat XII-MEC Pack the PALS webbing was removed from the back of the pack at the suggestion of military customers who wanted solid camouflage concealment with less modularity needed for utility.
The Combat XII-MEC Pack is available exclusively through PredatorBDU.com in the PenCott™ Multi-Environment Camouflage (“MEC”) patterns of GreenZone (Temperate), Badlands (Transitional/Semi-Arid), and Sandstorm (Arid/Desert). This is a first of its kind and the premier of a pack in these camouflage patterns manufactured from 1000D textured nylon that is nIR treated and features a durable water-resistant coating.
The main compartment features two sections for 100 ounce hydration bladders with additional space for field rations or other sustainment supplies, along with external side solid color webbing for MOLLE compatible pouches. Two rear mounted pouches allow for additional storage. The pack can be worn solo with the shoulder straps and directly to a plate or armor carrier for free range of motion.
Hyde Definition’s PenCott™ multi-environment family of camouflage patterns is under consideration for the US Army’s next-generation family of camouflage patterns, and is also being used by a growing number of special operations units around the world.

With regards to attaching the pack directly to a plate or armour carrier: How will attaching the pack this way affect the quick release systems of releasable armour carriers?
your camo looks nice, but for the life of me why does everybodies gear have the same straps that stick out like a sore thumb sems like there should be some way to camo the also ,,, ie a sleeve, hand sprayed ?? something but I see this time and time agian I use sticky camo tape on mine but would be nice to get them factory camoed thanks guys good packs otherwise
Camo-printed webbing is starting to become more readily available, but its still more expensive than solid colored webbing. PenCott printed webbing will be available in early 2012.
You can wrap regular nylon over on itself at the production level to make the webbing in the same pattern. Again, this is more expensive.
But I’d say very worth it.
I didn’t even notice the bottom of the pack for a while in that hide shot. I would like to see this on a matching uniform.
