About us

“Strike-Hold!” is the motto of the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, in which our founder – Lawrence Holsworth – served during the 1980′s. It also seemed like a fitting name for a site dedicated to all things related to elite forces, special operations units – and gear, operations and history.  Whether you’re a real-deal professional or an airsoft enthusiast this is the place to be.

WHO WE ARE -
Lawrence Holsworth, Founder and Editor-in-Chief:
A former Paratrooper NCO with a special passion for all things current and historical that are “special”,  “elite” and/or not-the-run-of-the-mill – covering units, equipment, missions, small arms, airsoft and camouflage.  If you’re bored or don’t have anything better to do, you can read all about his background and current activities here.

“Pensive Agent Kerberos”, milsim gear geek and shutter-bug:
A regular occurence on the airsoft skirmishing fields of southern and middle England, Kerbs is a reliable font of obscure knowledge and pretty handy with a camera too – as his deviantArt portfolio shows.

“Simon Chambers”, mad-bad-and-dangerous-to-know:
Simon’s been getting into and out of dangerous and dodgy places for longer than most of us have even been alive.  Now that age has finally started to catch up with him, he’s decided to sit still long enough to start sharing some of his knowledge and experiences with us mere mortals.  Check out his recent book for some particularly scintillating tales.

Scott Bain, “tactical reviews for the average Joe (or Jane)”:
Scott is an avid outdoorsman who loves fishing, camping and all things tactical.  Above that, he is a personal defense advocate who believes in self preparedness – so watch out.  Scott also runs his own Blog that focusses on gear and gadgets for everyday-carry.
